Turkey

Serving Size: 10
  • 1 whole turkey
  • celery stalks
  • 4 chicken bouillon cubes
  • salt and pepper
  1. thaw turkey (if kept frozen) for 3-4 days in fridge in casserole dish (keep packaging on)
  2. preheat oven to 350
  3. remove neck, scrape away any still frozen globs of ice, then remove bag of giblets by lifting skin from other end
  4. rinse turkey in sink
  5. in a large roaster, add approx 2“ water
  6. throw in a few cut up celery stalks, onion, and 4 chicken bouillon cubes
  7. rub butter all over outside of turkey, then place in roaster
  8. heavily season with salt and pepper
  9. bake 4 to 6 hours, basting every hour, until breast temp is around 200 degrees
