Ingredients
Shrimp
- 1 can beer
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 cup water
- Old Bay Seasoning
- Salt
- 1 lb. shrimp
Cocktail Sauce
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon (or more for spicy taste) horseradish
Instructions
(if shrimp are frozen, run cold water over shrimp to unthaw)
- Bring beer, water and vinegar to a boil.
- Place shrimp in steamer basket, add salt, and cover 50/50 with Old Bay.
- Cover steamer with lid and steam for 3 minutes.
- Stir shrimp, flipping to other side. Cover again with salt, and 50/50 with Old Bay.
- Cover steamer with lid and steam for 2 minutes. Steam until pink, and be sure to mix once.
- Put ice in a bowl, place plastic wrap over the ice, and put the shrimp on top. Serve shrimp cold.
