Quick ppp connection to ISP
- start minicom
- setup parameters
- type ATDT<ISP Phone #> and press enter
- after connecting, wait for prompt or press enter
- login with user name and password
- when ppp transmission begins, exit minicom without reset (ctrl-a q)
- at the command prompt, type:
pppd -d detach /dev/ttyS0 &
- verify connection with ifconfig
