multi-level bulleted numbered list

You have to create paragraph styles for each level. For instance, if you want to do this:

1. First Level Item
   • Second Level Item
2. Another First Level Item

There needs to be a paragraph style for the first level, set to numbers, and another paragraph style for the second level, set to bullets. You will use the same paragraph style on “Another First Level Item” as you have for “First Level Item”, and InDesign should pick up the numbering at 2 for you.
