in a mixing bowl, add 1 cup water, yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar, set aside for 10 min
in another mixing bowl, combine 1 cup water w/ molasses, Crisco, and salt
add the mixtures together, with the remaining sugar, and mix until smooth
place mixture in the mixer bowl, and attach the bread hook
gradually add flour 1 cup at a time with the mixer on low, and allow it to knead until it cleans the mixer bowl
continue kneading by hand until elastic
set on flat surface, cover w/ damp towel for 15 min
divide in half, punch down, form into 2 semi flattened balls
grease cookie sheet, place balls on sheet to proof for at least 1 hour
bake at 350 for 45 - 50 min, until hollow when tapped
