Special Variables

@_ - any arguments passed to a subroutine are accessible with this variable

Lists, Arrays, and Hashes

$var is a scalar
(8, $a, 0.4, 'test') is a list (used to create arrays, etc…)
@var is an array
- $var[0] is the first item in the array
%var is a hash
- $var{key} is the value of the item with “key”
